Mart’s story begins in the summer of 2015. Where a young man was dropped off on the side of a corn field in rural Wisconsin. The rambler had met a crossroad in his path. Does he travel south for refuge or take the harsh winters of the north.

With much quicker access, he found allies in Minnesota and decided to lay his foundation. Over the next six years, his passions led him down a journey of self-exploration. Studying the mind and body, his practices consisted of deep meditation and exposure to the great outdoors.

He taught himself how to write and studied the minds of our worlds high performers. His curiosity drove him to explore the globe and track down our sought after teachers. Building a love for health, his holistic approach to simplicity furthered his interests. When his time in the north seemed to run its course, he headed west for his gold rush.

Finding himself, he decided to grow roots in California. Where he hunkered down to start a family, his studies migrated towards the meaning of existence. Becoming rather peculiar, he found love for the arts in San Francisco. From psychology to philosophy, his studying of the mind dove deeper into the soul. Becoming an author, he published his first books on the importance of breathing and the mastery of being.

As the years rolled on, it became quite clear. The modern world was steamrolled with information, and the landscape of society was conflicted with morality.

Questions started to appear:

Who are we?

What is worth struggling for?

What is life without vitality?

These contemplative emotions curated the performance company of Harvey J Martin (HJM) in the fall of 2024. Beginning the process, Harvey became a teacher to a variety of athletes, artists and coaches. His community started to expand, and as the once rambler found solace amongst the open roads, his intentions to remain mobile fulfilled his ambitions.

As the circle evolved, other teachers linked arms. The Martin Group was formed. Together. curating the “Martin Method” in the summer of 2025, the Mart’s were born.
